Parents and Students,
I think I can honestly speak on behalf of the students and myself that we are burned out with FRACTIONS! We started with fractions in November, and here we are, halfway through February and STILL learning different things about fractions! Fractions is the primary focus of math in the 4th grade. Good news though! We are almost finished! Yay! We will begin testing in the next coming up weeks, and TNready (TCAP) will be here before we know it! Parents, encourage your child to continue to practice on Iready to receive math intervention! Practice multiplication facts, and fluently add, subtract, multiply and divide! These are skills that will never change and will help them in the near future.
I have posted extra credit for the students to complete for additional points. The points will be added to their lowest grade assignment (excluding: CFA's). If you have any questions, ALWAYS feel free to email me at [email protected].

I am originally from Santiago, Chile (Chile is located in the southeast of South America). I moved to Memphis when I was 8 years old and have lived here ever since. I am a Germantown alumni "Go Red Devils"! I obtained my Bachelor's at the University of Memphis, and a Master's in Education from Union University. I am a mother of 2 precious babies! Laurie is 7 years old and my son Lucas, is 3 years old. We are also expecting our third baby in April 2019! My husband is an amazing person and father! He works really hard, and loves us unconditionally.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and shopping! I am currently reading all of the books Roald Dahl wrote :) . It is an amazing book series! I highly recommend it!
I LOVE working at Highland Oaks, but I mostly enjoy the relationships I build with my students. My goals are the following: Begin my doctorate in the fall of 2019 and teach your child to enjoy/love math and to always believe that they can achieve anything they set their mind to.
